I would like to tell you that the reason I had another bad day at the office was because I went in to work today and that my laptop didn’t work because of the coffee spillage. Unfortunately, it was a very bad, terrible, no good day because I got laid off work and was asked to leave this morning at 11:30AM. Obviously this was really upsetting and I did a lot of crying and my eyes are all swollen now… which is just lovely. But I also think that everything happens for a reason, I was able to learn a lot at the job, got great marketing experience, and I didn’t want to stay in commercial real estate forever so nows my chance to do something new and different. I just need to find that new and different thing soon. I would ultimately like to find a job that combines my love for health/nutrition and marketing. (dream job- account manager for a kashi product, marketing or advertising for whole foods or trader joe) I always search online for things of that nature but I haven’t found that perfect job yet.
Needless to say I have had a trying day, which made my eating out of whack. Nothing too bad, but I ate like 20 peanut M&M’s and quite a large mass of granola plank- it was the blueberry one and it was kind of addicting.
But last night I went running and I had a salad for dinner. It was filled with lots of fruits and veggies… a kind of crazy salad but it tasted great!

I’ve read your blog for a while (don’t know if I’ve ever commented though!) and just had to say that my dream job is to work marketing at Kashi, Whole Foods, or Trader Joe’s too! I always search online but there is never anything listed!! I will let you know if I ever do find something
Jenn- okay, let me know. Hopefully there will be 2 positions available so we can both get our dream jobs!
So sorry to hear about your horrible day…under the circumstances I think only 20 m&ms shows will power:) Everything does happen for a reason and I’m sure you will find something soon!! Your salad looks really good!!
Yikes, I’m so sorry! I’m sure things will turn out for the best, though, so keep looking. Trader Joe’s seems like an awesome company to work for.
OMG. I am so sorry to hear this- my company recently laid off 20% of its employees, so I know it is happening all around! You obviously are an intelligent, diligent worker and I know you will find something!
