Snacking the afternoon away

2008 June 19

I didn’t really want left overs for lunch today, but I really didn’t have much to choose from. So I packed the leftover curried sweet potatoes, spinach, and chickpeas along with some veggies and hummus.

After eating this I was still a bit hungry so I had some pretzels that I had packed as well. Then I went on my normal walk around the office park… I’m such a dork- I even bring my sneakers to change into during lunch. You should have seen how great they looked with my outfit today. I should probably take pictures of myself before walking so everyone can get a good laugh in for the day. I’m sure the people in my complex get a kick out of it. Oh well, I don’t really care because I am stuck at a desk for 8 hours a day with 1 hour of lunch so I need to get out of office and move a little bit.

So after my 20 minute walk, I walked up an appetite for something else to eat. and I ate a clif-z bar. About 2 hours later, I was hungry again. I probably wasn’t really hungry, I just packed too many things for lunch today (I pretty much always eat everything I pack because I know it’s there) and I knew I had this sitting in the fridge 2 steps away. So I ate it, with some TJ’s morning lite cereal mixed in.

It was the first time I had this kind and it was good, but I like the maple kind better. Now it’s pouring the rain outside and I have to walk to my car.. GOSH!

Yea. I don’t know how many ounces it was, however I remember it had 140 calories if that brings it into perspective.

Haha bringing your sneakers to work is a great idea, not dorky at all.
Peach yogurt sounds good but maple sounds 10x better.
